KB1134: Converting PostScript files with Print2PDF 8 Watcher, Batch Conversion, and Service Manager
Postscript (.ps) files are not supported natively with Print2PDF 8's batch and automatic conversion features such as Print2PDF 8 Watcher or Print2PDF 8 Batch Conversion. This means you will need to install a program capable of viewing and printing these files on the server.
Once you have installed a Postscript viewer on your server, it is just a matter of configuring the Print2PDF 8 services to understand these files.
Open the Print2PDF Watcher application via the shortcut in the Print2PDF 8 Program Group on your Start menu.
If you already use a configuration file to convert files, load it up using the File -> Open Configuration option. If not, skip this step.
In the Allowed File Types field, add the ps filetype to the end of the list like this:
;ps
4. Save the configuration using File -> Save Configuration. 5. Open the C:\Program Files\Software602\Print2PDF\Scripts\Scripts.ini file in a text editor and add the following to the bottom of the file:
Note: The above can be applied for virtually any document/file type that is not supported natively by Print2PDF 8. All you would need to do is simply change the PostScript extension and data as is appropriate to the file type you are trying to convert.
