Thank you to all the people in this forum, youve all saved me a lot of head scratching.
Having finally got my firewall working by luck, I revieved my log entries and found this:
11:22:44 SMTP: Initializing Windows Sockets...
11:22:44 AVG Anti-virus initialized.
11:22:44 SMTP: Initializing SMTP service...
11:22:44 SMTP: Waiting for incoming connection...
11:22:44 SMTP: SMTP server started at IP address 10.0.0.20.
11:22:44 POP3: POP3 server started at IP address 10.0.0.20.
11:22:44 SOCKS: SOCKS server started.
11:22:44 NS: DNS requests processing started.

11:22:44 PROXY: 1224 Reg2Phone reg1.net2phone.com:6500
11:22:44 PROXY: 0000 Can't read certificate or key.
11:22:44 PROXY: 1244 FTP-Client proxy uses 0.0.0.0:21
There are no settings i can find for this i am a little confuzed. There is no software installed on the machine, i am using user data retained from a previous install as i didnt want to lose anything.
Is this something that is just hanging around causing no harm or should i be worried

Found a press release on the net2pnone web site, dated august, 2001. In it was stated, "Windows Messenger feature of Windows XP and MSN Messenger", incorporated this product for their Voice over IP. So if you have the 'instant messaging' of windows XP active, you will likely be trying to connect to the net2phone.com web site.
