fax jiggerypokery

Has anyone had the fax server/sendfax running reliably?
Iím using an external v90 modem with a Rockwell chipset, on a win xp pro box (acting as a server).
About half of the incoming the faxes are fine, yet the rest are either unreadable gibberish or have only the top of the page shown correctly. Similarly with outgoing faxes.

Iíve had a nosey around and Iíve been told it may be a flow control problem on the modem. Not knowing a thing about modem strings, I just wondered if anyone has got it working, and what modem and settings are they using.
thanks

I have recently fixed the same problem that seems to affect a lot of users...

Ultimately the fix was to slow the modem to 4800bps. You can do this in the LS TAPI setup. CLASS 1 fax also proved better results.

My ini string ATS7=60&D3&H2&I1
Since your modem/fax is workingish, just change the speed a see what the results are.
