602Photo vs PhotoShop color cast / tint correction
Posted by  Jonathan Bach  on Wednesday, November 07, 2001 at 11:39:00 AM (EST)
602Photo does a superb "Auto Tuning" of old yellowing scanned color photos! It matches even the Adobe PhotoShop Elements "Auto Level" feature! And even on a nicely exposed color image, 602 appears to makes the same "auto" adjustments that PhotoShop does! I have compared MANY photo programs today on some test photos.

BUT: Some programs do an additional type of auto-correction where you just click on a part of the image that SHOULD BE white and it adjusts all the other colors to that standard. This is called "color cast" in PhotoShop or "tint" in MS PhotoDraw). It really completes a simple two-step process in restoring such photos.

CAN 602Photo do this? It would make it a match for the formidable Adobe PhotoShop auto fix engine!
