Portrait/Landscape Issue
Posted by  Jo Pitts  on Friday, September 12, 2003 at 5:42:50 PM (EST)
Hiya,
I have a word document with a number of pages in it.

The document has several portrait pages, then two landscape pages, then a portrait page.

The first block of portrait pages is correct
the first landscape page is correct
the second landscape page is printed in portrait (WHICH IS WRONG!!!)
and the final Portrait page is correct.

I have produced many documents with this software that go portrait/landscape/portrait before (but only with a single landscape page in the middle).

I am trying to get a major proposal out the door and need some urgent assistance on this.

I doubt this is relevant, but both landscape pages have embedded excel spreadsheets.

regards
Jo

Further to my previous email, I have done more experimenting.

I created a word document that went

1 Portrait Page
2 Landscape Pages
1 Portrait Page

the text on the first page was 'a'
on the second page 'b', third page 'c', fourth page 'd'.

When I PDF it using print2pdf, again the second landscape page (containing 'c') is reverted to portrait.

Maybe this info helps?

Regards

I can't believe that over a month has gone by, and I have had no response from 602 software, not even an acknowledgement that maybe a bug exists.

I really like this product, and want to be able to recommend it to people, but you aren't making it easy for me.

Please improve the quality of your support

Read the "Terms of use"

First sentence: "Software602 does not offer any formal support in the user forums."

http://support.software602.com/forum/terms.asp

If you have a presales question, it can be directed to "sales@software602.com".

I didn't answer because I don't know what the solution is. As far as I know it's not supported, but I could be wrong because I am just a reseller and don't work for Software602. All but 2 of my clients have no interest in Print Pack.

Robert,
while you are technically correct (vis-a-vis terms of service), it is still very poor form for tech support staff NOT to be scanning these forums on a regular basis.

and BTW, I work for a software vendor so I know what my clients expect in the way of support even (especially?) through informal channels
