Fails Dial-up connect
Posted by  Awab Alvi  on Tuesday, September 09, 2003 at 5:18:45 AM (EST)
i maintain a dial-up connection but if accidently it disconnects then LS tries to reestablish it - but prompts back that invalid username and password when infact they are correctly entered into the LS panel - any solution - or should i let windows XP maintain the connection?

Be sure your username and password is correct in the Connection tab.

Since this happens after the connection is dropped by accident, it may be that your ISP sees you as having an active connection and is blocking access to a new one until the first is closed (via a timeout in this case). I've seen such behavior on dropped POP3 communications.

You can test this by trying to establish simultaneous connections on two computers.
