LS2003 installed fine on XP Prof SP1. Everything works except that LDAP is not reachable from outside, e.g. using Outlook Express from a machine on the LAN. The LDAP section in socksdll.ini looks like this: portx=389 port=389 ip=* debug=0 delinp=1 Any clues ? Klaus D. Niebling

Can you access it with an LDAP browser? I remember discussion on this forum about 6 months to a year ago that there was a bug in Outlook Express (all versions) that caused LDAP to not work correctly. Try using a different client (Netscape or eudora for example) and see if you can browse. If you can't, then it's a config problem.

Trying a connection to the LDAP service using Softerra LDAP Administrator gave the following Output: Successfully connected to 192.168.1.1 No RootDSE found - probably it is an LDAPv2 server.
