Saving Data to csv format ??
Posted by  Jeff Hedden  on Monday, July 07, 2003 at 3:34:23 PM (EST)
Iam trying to copy data files from a floppy to "602tab" files and saving them to a csv.format file ext.which goes ok. When I try to save as ( from text to csv. )a message pops up and say's " this document format provides only for active sheet save. Save anyway ? "
What is active sheet save ?and can I do this ? I tried help and as usuall internal error pop-ups cannot be found in help files ...go figure.
Thanks,
Jeff H

At the bottom of your screen, it says "sheet 1, sheet 2, sheet 3, "..and so on.

Those are sheets. This message indicates that the only thing that is being saved is whatever sheet is open at the moment. In other words if you can't see it because you have to click on the little tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet window, it is NOT saved.

Thanks for your quick response !
To just clarify one lingering question, ... If I have a document with 3 sheets, then I should save "a sheet" as I go ? otherwise nothing will be saved ...

Again, Thanks,
Jeff
