Hello,

After the install of ProLan 2003 and starting my DialUp Modem, I was pleasantly surprised that an e-mail came in.
Therefore almost sure now, that
it is possible to open up some menu
by which an e-mail can be sent and even better to send a fax.
I have looked into and searched every angle of Outlook Express, however no LAN to be found.
For me the helpfiles are much to descriptive instead of instructive
e.g. (1)open; (2)click; (3)enter
etc.
Can somebody help me ?!
Thanks in advance.
Adriaan

Have you tried the Knowledge Base? There's step-by-step instructions for configuring most popular mail clients there.

Check this category for instructions for Opera mail, Mozilla mail, and Eudora mail.

http://support.software602.com/kb/search.aspx?categoryID=68

If you need Outlook Express instructions, go to http://support.software602.com/products/ls2003/apps.asp?id=5

You can send a fax by either using the sendfax client or sending mail with the to: address as phonenumber@fax.fax where "phonenumber" is the exact number LANSuite needs to dial. That is explained pretty well in the manual.

Hello,

Just tried to visit the webs mentioned.
The last one does not open and the first doesn't contain install instructions.
Searched the other possibilities (mentioned in the margin) in vain.
I now understand why; I am expected to subscribe for help at
$ 50

OK, then let's try this again.

First link:
1. Go to http://support.software602.com
2. Click the Knowledge Base link.
3. Locate the LAN Suite 2003 section and click How To/Technical Guides.

Second link:
1. Go to http://support.software602.com
2. Click the Knowledge Base link.
3. Click LAN SUITE 2002.
4. Click Third Party Applications.
5. Locate your program in the list of Third Party Applications
6. Click the appropriate product.

Software602 doesn't provide support for the free software, and I know for a fact they do not support third party applications.

You wanted instructions for click here, go there for configuring a mail client. #2 provides that. The only thing I can suggest you do is read the manual. That's located here:

1. Go to http://support.software602.com
2. Click the LAN Suite 2003 link
3. Click the User Manual link.

You are really great.
I am going to follow up your instructions next week, when I am back again.
I'll let you know.
