Does anyone know how to stop the LANSuite service to allow AVG to update without breaking the network connection? I’m administering a dozen servers over a dial up connection with VNC and if I stop the service the WAN connection drops – I know we can upgrade to the new Antivirus version but this costs a lot when you have to upgrade everyone Thanks

I have the same trouble. I think that is the reason for the new version of LanSuite with the other virus protection system built in.

Strange.. I update my AVG (server edition) at home and it doesn't break the WAN connection at all. It unloads and reloads the service without stopping LS too. The thing is if you are using the free version of AVG on a network or a computer that acts like a server, you're breaking the license (and using the software illegally). I think that's one of the big reasons Software602 came out with the Antivirus edition.
