hi all
does anyone know if Norton av scans the i/c mail of LS ,& does LS just redirect the mail to users mail boxes and then Norton scans them in Outlook , or are we limited to just AVG when using LS.
thanks

You could probably use NAV to scan for viruses, but NAV is not supported by Software602 and has some known compatibility issues because of the way it scans.

AVG is the only supported antivirus version for now.

Hi,

Norton scans the incoming port before the email hits Lansuits.

If you are using a dial up account, you may need to stop the setting in norton to check going e-mails, as the mail will be sent from lansuite prior to norton scanning the outgoing mail, where it will br forwaded to the web.

Simply, lansuite will close the connection as it thinks the mail has ben sent, however the mail will be held back by norton and the connection may close before it has verified them for viruses. If you have a pernament connection this is not as issue.

The advantage of using norton over AVG, is the liveupdates do not require Lansuite to be closed.

Hope this helps.
