Formatting text in cells
Posted by  Garry Moses  on Sunday, September 09, 2001 at 7:32:56 AM (EST)
Two questions:
1. Is there a way to merge cells so that a portion of text can be centered across a page?
2. A friend sent me a calendar page that was made with Excell. Each cell has the date than 1 or 2 blank lines than some text. There is a symbol like "|" only bolder which causes the blank line to appear. Can I do this with 602Tab? I am able to edit these cells but can't figure how to recreate the blank lines.Normally in a word processor you would just hit enter, but that only moves to the next cell. Thanks for any help you can give

1. Yes, try selecting the cells and pressing the "Center Across Selection" icon. It's on the Formatting toolbar.

2. Not sure what you're talking about here. Maybe a border?
