SMTP No such user
Posted by  Tim Reeves  on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at 4:56:59 PM (EST)
My LanSuite SMTP server is working well.

However, if I email any@myurl.com where 'any' is not a known user the message is rejected by LanSuite "Rejecting message from xxx for any@myurl.com No such user here".

Can I make it so any email address in my domain goes to me ?

The setting in 'User Properties' for 'Route unsorted messages to this user' appears to only apply to POP3 accounts as I have it ticked for me and the messages are still rejected.

The unsorted function is for mail received through the POP3 mail server. LS doesn't have a way to act as a "catch all" server.

Thats a shame - I own the domain after all - I'm more eligible to receive 'anyuser' at my own domain than I am receiving pop3 email from my ISP.

Oh well. Thanks for your help (again!) Robert.
