process dns-request
Posted by  Matthias Heller  on Friday, August 24, 2001 at 3:42:38 AM (EST)
Hello, I
I`m testing the trial for my small home network(4 computers) and wonder why checking on the process dns-request takes so much resources? The PC-anywhere session are far away from realtime, without processing dns-requests, everything works quite well. I also wonder, why checking for E-Mails needs 12 times longer (about 300kb transfer) with dns-requests enabled and only 25kb without. Is this becaouse of the trial, or did I make something wrong with the configuration.
Thx for help!
