how to setup in between Lan Suite 2002 and Router
Posted by  Ng Khaikeong  on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 11:07:10 PM (EST)
Currently all of the workstation are access internet and email by this Lan Suite Server where IP 192.9.200.254.

Now, I had installed a router where ip 192.9.200.10

how to i let the Lan Suite Server point to the router to access internet instead of using the own modem.

On the CONNECTION part, should be choise permanent or dial-up. if should choise dial-up, how do i do setting on dial-up networking ?

thanks

Lan suite should probably be set to "permanent", as even if you have a router dialing out, it's on the network and you are not using the modem in your computer to dial out.

if you have two network cards set the gateway in tcp/ip on the card that points out of your network to the ip address of the router.

Don't forget to configure the router to forward ports 25, 110 and 80 to IP 192.9.200.10
