I just received an email from software602 and IceWarp announcing their partnership. The best thing I read in the email is that support will be available for Groupware until December of 2010. Also, a migration tool will allow us to move all data to the IceWarp server. What a relief. I have had sleepless nights worrying about this situation. In fact, during the last 2 weeks we have had issues with the server Groupware is on, and I was really tempted to move to hosted email. With the announcement of support and migration to IceWarp, my fears have been replaced by releif knowing my users will not lose their data and my position as IT Director for my clients will continue. If you did not get the email, you can find the information on the software602 website or go here: http://www.icewarp.com/602/ Barry Kucher http://www.411tech.org

As of February, there is no new information on IceWarp's website. Still says the same thing it said in December. No information on migration. I have now signed up for notification 3 times (once in December, once in January and just today) and have not received anything from IceWarp. As far as I can tell, this software is now dead? That I just have to purchase a full version of the IceWarp product and install it... basically start over? That isn't good customer support from either company... So, just wondering, when will there be any information about the migration?

I am guessing that Groupware (and LanSuite) users have been abandoned now. I have emailed both Software602 and the folks at IceWarp and neither have replied. It's now March, and there is no migration information available at the Icewarp site (although it does say that both companies have written software that will make migration easy). To date, I am still running my LanSuite software, but with the server being older and starting to have problems I know I will have to build a new system... which will mean new software because it seems that Groupware/LanSuite is no longer supported... in short it is dead. Anyone have any suggestions for a replacement?

I see that Icewarp has now posted a migration utility. But... you can't find out about pricing until you have migrated over to the new software. Once you migrate, you can't go back (can't register with Software 602) so you are stuck. Sad what happens to a once great software.

Cheers Douge, I've downloaded them and will check them out. The afterlogic looks interesting given you appear to be able to web host it. That could be useful for us with traveling & home working.
