Google Chrome seems to be much faster than IE for reading emails with Groupware webmail, but some pages don't show the email message properly. Has anybody had same problem? I am using Groupware 5 when we need fax and can't upgrade to 6 becouse of that.

I have not looked at Google Chrome yet, but as far as I know the only officially supported browsers are IE and Firefox.

Chrome did not work with 5.0. There was some improvement in recent Groupware Server 6.0 build 6.0.08.0916. Although if it is still not supported it works better then before. For your fax, my suggestion would be to use some fax-to-email services and you can even save on phone line. Our pohone provider convert all faxes to email for us for $5.00 a month

When we originally had issues with IE & Firefox with our configuration, CHROME was the only browser that DID work. Now that we have corrected our original issues, CHROME is still the BEST browser to use with GW6. The first time you use the GW6 web client within any of the browsers it is a little slow because they have to download all of the elements on the screen. Once this is done, CHROME is fast and displays the pages almost as if it is a desktop system. Give it a try. BTW, we used certain features of LS2004 that are not available in GW6 also. We used the Proxy Server for an internal application. We moved to GW6 and just left the old machine running LS2004. We removed the POP3 account in LS2004 and changed the password on our email host just in case. I don't think you can run both ls2004 and GW6 on the same machine. We will probably find another proxy server in the near future to install on our new EMail Server. BTW, we are using a XEON Quad Core Dell with 2 Gig ram and it rarely goes above 5% CPU usage. Impressive. One more thing. The migration to GW6 went SO MUCH FASTER than when we tried going to GW5. We had about the same amount of emails, but it only took about 4 hours to move just over 100,000 emails. When we went to GW5, it took about 40 hours. What a difference. Barry Kucher www.411tech.org
