Posted by  Miroslav Marekovic  on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 2:37:07 AM (EST)
Dear Team!

I cannot setup Proxy server!

Settings in LS5 ( installed on WinServer 2003, internet connection without proxy server works ) are all done as described in user manual but still no success.
On client computer ( win XP pro ) i made as folows:
Internet.../connections/LAN-Setup/
Searc for the best connectons
Proxy server: Adress 192.168.0.2, Port 80
IP adress is the same as for POP settings, which works.

Please help, I don't want to by another Proxy server since we payed this one... ;)

Thanx

In order to use the Groupware Proxy Servers, you must set do the following:

1. Login to the Groupware Administration Page
2. Go to the Proxy Settings Page
3. Check the box for "Use a different port for the HTTP
proxy than the webserver"
4. Enter 8080 for the HTTP Proxy Port.
5. SAVE your settings.

In your Internet Client, enter 8080 for the Port under the LAN settings.

By default the HTTP Proxy server tries to use Port 80. This port does not work when the IIS services are installed and running since IIS uses this port.

Good Luck
