this error message appears only if user requires answer after reading mails. If I send normal Email to same user, there is no problem.

It might be how the notification is addressed or how your mail client handles these. You might want to check with whomever handles your mail client. Return receipt messages should be from YOUR address.

I have the same problem. My Software was working OK for several days then suddenly it rejects all incomming MX mail and rejects all attempts to send mail via outlook. The only way it will send mail if via the webmail option. This is exactly the same problem I had when I loaded the software in November. I have lost another 24 hours of business emails and the responce from the tech line was stop using hotmail which is way off the mark. Given the 12 hour turn around on answers from USA to Australia I will now have to un-install groupware and re-install the Lan2004 to keep my business running. The US$499- I paid for this software is looking like a waste of money.

Problem is probably in your SMTP settings. Be sure, that you still have valid domain name here and do not have a checkmark on "Block if sender e-mail domain is not found in DNS'. No need to roll back to 2004, 5.0 has a better antispam protection. Also verify SMTP relay options. Do you have checkmarked "Allow SMTP relay for 602LAN SUITE users only"?

Tried all that. Plus it dosent explain why it was working OK for several days sending the same emails. I have rolled back to 2004 now and working fine. I will wait for next upgrade.

Have the design people done any checks into conflicts with old files left around from ls2004? Could there be a regestry entry that is blocking a port etc that wasnt cleared by the ls2004 un-install?
