I cant get the text cursor to move from the first label.Anyone help?

Whatever you type on the first label is automatically copied to all the labels. Because of this, the labels are best used when combined with a mail-merge. The goal, when using the mail-merge feature, is to insert database fields into the label.
Select Tools then Labels.
Select the appropriate table and click OK.
Again, click Tools, click Database, then Mail Merge Wizard.
The Mail Merge Wizard dialog will appear.
Click the Main Document button and select Use Active Document.
Now, click Data Source and select your source file. Instruction for creating a source file.
After you have selected your source file click Insert Merge Field. This will insert the field into the label. Insert however many field that you deem necessary
