602LAN proxy setting for VOIP
Posted by  Paolo Giazzi  on Thursday, November 09, 2006 at 9:41:26 AM (EST)
Hi everyone.

Does anybody have experience in setting 602LAN with products like VOIPstunt? I'm using Skype with SOCKS proxy settings, and it works great (without using NAT, which I would prefer), but I couldn't find any help in setting up a proxy with VOIPstunt.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I did a quick Google search and didn't find much about the problem. Their official web site doesn't have any kind of support information that I could find. Did you check the help file for this program by any chance?

Hi Robert.

I did the same, browsing different user forums about VOIP. I also sent a message to the VOIPstunt support, and I'm waiting a reply from them. They ask to allow some time for the replies, so I'm not pressing them... If they offer a service for free is also because they cut a lot of costs, of course.

Anyway, the only information I found on setup was a list of ports to be opened on firewalls, but no examples about proxies or SOCKS compatibility. The program setup has an option to set the port to be used, that I set to 1080 where I have the SOCKS proxy set. But this seems not to be enough.

I was trying to find out if someone already got into this problem before experimenting by myself...
