I checked the software602 webpage and didn't see a "free" download, just a free "trial". What's up with the PCWorld article? And, no registration woes anymore ... ???

For general usage, I'd still rather use 602Text, buggy as it is, than the newest, sweetest and grandest, MS Office 2007 Beta -- WAY 2 MUCH SYRUP. 602 suits me fine. Just wish I could get some minor problems fixed.

I think that article from 2000 is referring to the old 2001 version of 602 which was free. You have to pay for it these days.
