Messages in "io\internet" directory
Posted by  Domenick Luca  on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 7:48:01 PM (EST)
I have several orphaned/deferred (odlozeno) messages. The messages in the "internet" directory have the .dat extension, the messages in the "odlozeno" directory have .d and .x extensions. Is it safe to just delete these files?

I don't think there'd be a problem (why don't you move them before deleting to make sure), but first check the queue to make sure they're still not queued up.

I emptied the que and deleted the .dat files in io/internet and the .d and .x files in io/internet/odlozeno and it doesn't seem to have caused any problems. I had to move LanSuite to another server because of a disk failure and deselected the "Relay for 602LAN SUITE users only" after I moved it. Apparently, messages from some spammers being relayed would go into a loop. So, now I'm just blacklisting those spammers to try to alleviate the problem.
