LDAP Killed Lansuite
Posted by  Allen Gray  on Friday, April 07, 2006 at 7:50:11 PM (EST)
I decided to set up an LDAP server using lansuite, and after setting it up, Lansuite shut off and refuses to start. I checked the log, and it always crashes out completely when starting the LDAP server.

Everything was running peachy until I tried using LDAP. Is there any way I can remove LDAP from Lansuite without starting up Lansuite itself? I'm really in a bind!

The lansuite config files are in binary, so I can't just turn LDAP off. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You can get into the configuration directly via the GUI:

"C:\Program Files\Software602\602LAN SUITE\Lansuite.exe" /config

You might also want to take a look at SOCKSDLL.INI in your lansuite directory.

Look for the section under [ldap]
and change port=389 to port=0
