Error 503 No Recipients
Posted by  Deborah Donovan  on Thursday, March 09, 2006 at 8:49:34 AM (EST)
I have Lansuite 2004 running just fine for my regular mail. I constantly am getting this error now when I try to send messages to my external pop3 server. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Check to make sure you are using the e-mail addresses, not a nickname or full name of the user. In other words, try sending a message to the e-mail address rather than using an address book entry and see if that works.

I checked all the fields and they all contain the appropriate email address.

The exact verbiage is "The server responded: 503 No recipient(s)."

Any other thoughts? Thanks!

Maybe this will help:

It basicaly says that 1) you have a blacklisted dynamic IP - just get another; or 2) you are trying to reach the mail server from an IP address belonging to another IP supplier, when only IP addresses from the mailserver provider have to be used.
