RESOLUTION You can still import an Excel file containing merged cells into 602Tab. 602Tab will treat the merged-cell as an ordinary cell. This will not effect the integrity of the data, only the asthetic properties of the merge feature."

You can also simply remove the right and left (or bottom and top) borders of the cells you wish to merge. Unless word wrap is active for the cells you wish to merge, the text will simply cross into the next cell anyway (for a horozontal merge at least). It will give the appearance of two cells merged into one.
