Incoming SMTP and Unrecognised Users
Posted by  Chris Wilson  on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 12:35:17 PM (EST)
Hi

using ls as incoming SMTP server, great, however I tend to use numerous 'aliases' and don't want to have to manually enter them all. I've checked the box 'route all unresolved messages here' but it doesn't. Address to any undefined aliases or accounts fails permanently

I want all undefined addresses to go to a default mailbox

Any help / advice greatfully received

btw: * in alias doesn't work, I have users i wish to get their mail first, only unresolved to come to me

Regards

Chris

The only way I know to support a catch all mailbox, without duplicating user mail, is to collect mail from ISP via pop3. 'route unsorted' will only work with mail collected via pop3. The down side is pop3 collected mail is not processed by LS Anti-Spam features.

Thanks Andy, pretty much what I'd thought

At least I'll avoid some of the c**p that just gets sent to random accounts eh!?!

Regards

Mark
