CANNOT TYPE NEW DATA INTO FILE. MESSAGE STATES "READ FILE ONLY". HOW CAN I INPUT INTO INTO MY FILES.

This isn't related to pc suite. You need to modify the file attributes on the file in order to make it not read-only. this is usually done by right-clicking on the file and going to properties. Uncheck the "read only" option.
Also, if you're trying to save a file to read-only media like a cd-rom, you'll get this error. try saving it to the hard drive instead.
