LDAP on Domain Controller
Posted by  Michael Abraham  on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 3:21:09 PM (EST)
Is it possible to run LANSuite2004 with LDAP turned on installed on an Active Directory domain controller. When I turn on LDAP lansuite crashes, when I turn it off it runs fine. I know that AD uses LDAP, is there way to make both happy.

I have outlook and outlook express clients that need to use LDAP for the address book.

Are there other alternatives to getting to the address book besides the web client?

You can do it but you'll have to change the port for the ldap server..All you need to do is change the port number in the ldap server config in lan suite.

Make sure you do the same for your clients, too or they won't be able to talk to the ldap server!
