LDAP Service Down
Posted by  Michelle Khoo  on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 1:25:23 AM (EST)
We are running Software602's mail and LDAP directory. However, we find that the LDAP service at least down once per day, while the mail service is still working. I wonder if this is the bug of Software602. We have been restarting software602 once the LDAP is down. I wonder if anyone has the same problem, and has found the permanent solution for it.

What exactly happens when the ldap server goes down? Do you see an error message in the lan suite log file? What OS are we talking about here?

I have a few clients who use the ldap directory, but the majority of them do not. I've never seen a problem like this before.

In the daily log file, I can't find any error on LDAP. We are using MS Windows 2003 Server, and I am running the Lansuite on AMD Atlon 1.1Ghz PC with 512 MB Ram. I wonder if anyone can help me to review the log file.
