Error : Windows - No Disk
Posted by  Pierre Leroux  on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 4:48:27 PM (EST)
Hi

When browsing my LS2004 with IE, the following error pops up on the server:
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive .
Cancel Try Again Continue

This happens only with web access to the LS2004 server. I have checked all paths in the config, no problems there.

I am dual-booting with Fedora Core 3, with FC3 being on the first 40gig of the drive and WinXPSP2 on the 2nd 40gig of the drive. WinXP picks up all the FC3 mount points as partitions, resulting in WinXP being installed on drive M.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Pierre

Windows is somewhat knows for doing that. I have had that problem. Likely nothing to do with LanSuite.

One thing you might try is deleting all the items in the 'Documents' on the Start menue. Somethings if you open a file on a floppy, it can Documents to constantly try an open it.

If that does not work, I would say go and ask in the Microsoft forums.

Thanks Russel. I would agree if the problem occurred in general when using Windows. However, it only occurs when LS is running and you browse a LS-hosted site (webmail, a user's site, etc) with IE.

Thanks
Pierre
