How to block messenger ???

I have the 2004 version installed and i need to know how to block messenger service ???

What configuration i need to do ?

Are you using NAT or proxy? Are you using the firewall? You can disable messenger with a firewall rule quite easily if you're using NAT and firewall, you just have to set up a rule to block the ports messenger uses. Microsoft should be able to tell you what ports to block.

you need to create a rule on the firewall with these conditions:

Block TCP/UDP Connections from any other computer and the ports are 135, 137, 138, 139, and 445,

You could try to block the following url's:

messenger.hotmail.com
msgr.hotmail.com

Does the trick :P
