Lansuite Event Mesage/System Crash
Posted by  John Lavelle  on Wednesday, March 02, 2005 at 5:49:29 AM (EST)
Hi,

I've just upgraded to 2004 and I am now getting the follwoing event message on start up on my Windows 2000 Server:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( lansuits ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Service lansuits started.

When a client computer logs in it is stopping the Master Browser Service with the following error:

Source: MRxSmb Event ID: 8003
The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer 64BIT that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{B6D7D7F6-62DB-4FC0-ADB. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.

Now before you say check my subnet mask I have on *all* computers and they are identical at 255.0.0.0.

I am using the Windows DHCP Server and have my own DNS Server.

Everything has been working fine for the last 2 years until yesterday when I put the licence for lansuite 2004 into the system.

Any ideas...
