Out of buffer space
Posted by  Peter Dunn  on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 3:13:24 PM (EST)
I have installed Lansuite 2004 latest download, on Windows XP SP2.
It dials out for client PC's but after a couple of pages it logs an "Out of buffer space" then all client PC's are denied web access (DNS Error) and email access (Network Error) until program is restarted.
Has anyone else come across this?

"buffers" refer to memory, so this message is a memory error. Maybe you have too many things running in addition to ls? How much ram do you have isntalled and what OS is this?

The buffers message appears in the console window, next to the URL being requested. It has been suggested that this might be caused by a loop in the configuration or a fault with the WinSock installation. Presumably, you can set the PC that LS is installed on to be a client as well as a server? This problem occurs with just LS running on a clean XP install with SP2 and Office 2003.
I have 256mb of RAM and have Windows XP Pro SP2 freshly installed.
Any suggestions would be greatfully received!
