Lansuite is slow

Lansuite is responding slowly on a fast machine on a fast connection. The web server, web mail, email in, and email out are all much slower than the machine should be able to do. As an example an email sent to myself from myself will take 2 or 3 minutes to be available for delivery. Thats over the local LAN. Lansute just seems to be moving in slow motion.

With your example, this is normal for a lot of mail servers. Lan Suite uses a queue. This queue is processed in a 1 or 2 minute interval or so. This is to protect you if you get mail bombed or have a high cpu load for one reason or another. LS can just write the messages and process them later if needed.

I can understand what you are saying about email handling. However, the web server also serves up the files slowly and it is not due to load. At this point there is a very low load.

Do you have anything else running on this computer? what processor/speed and how much ram are you running?

Nothing else running. This is an AMD 2800 w/256Mb ram W2k Sp3 running as a stand alone rack mounted server. I connect to it through the LAN so my internet connection speed isn't even part of it. When I run web mail, I get to watch each little icon popup one at a time.

Also, using performance monitor, I can verify that nothing else is consuming significant resources. CPU and DISK % graph lines stay on the bottom until a request comes in.

Since I upgraded to the 2004 version its been slow like this. I use to like this product. Tried running it as a service to see if that helped...no change.
