Has anyone managed to configure the outgoing mail to be via 'gmail'? According to gmail's help pages, the settings (for Outlook Express)are: 1 Enter your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com) in the 'Email address:' field, and click 'Next.' 2 Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:' field. 3 Click 'Next.' 4 Enter your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com') in the 'POP3 Account name:' field. Enter your Gmail password in the 'Password:' field, and click 'Next.' 5 Click 'Finish.' 6 Highlight 'pop.gmail.com' under 'Account,' and click 'Properties.' 7 Click the 'Advanced' tab. 8 Check the box next to 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL)' under 'Outgoing Mail (SMTP).' 9 Enter '465' in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP):' field. 10 re POP3...... 11 Click the 'Servers' tab, and check the box next to 'My server requires authentication.' 12 Click 'OK.' but I can't get a connection, but a 'SSL layer initialisation failed'. It works in Outlook Express okay.
