The program will not finish installng. The wizard informs us that "it can't write to SOCKSDLL.INI". The installation then stalls at the multicolored blue screen; blam.
So I'm double bubbled. Where's my think hat?

Is LS currently running? Check your task list.

Hello:
Thanks for your question. I checked the Task Mgr and a "process" called lsass.exe is running; if that's what U mean by "LA". There's nothing like that in "applications" running.

No, that's not it.
Look for "Lansuits.exe" or "Lansuite.exe". If you don't see this in your task list, delete the entire c:\LANSUITE folder.
