Hello.....

i'm using lansuite 2004 in my network. before when i used Norton Internet Security, i could see and ping out my server in my local network.
i use lansuite server now with standard medium rules and open 21 port for FTp, and the port for Pc-Anywhere.
But still i NEED to see my server on my local network for normal reasons like adding printer or browse to a dir on the server.
What did i forgot , and what to do now..?

Help ....Clemens

You probably selected the wrong interface in LS. You need to click the checkbox to add a checkmark to the interfaces that are on your LAN, and NOT the ones you want to protect.

OK OK, but

I have only 1 (one) nic in the server, so i did not check any.
When i check my nic, nothing an in or out.
Yesterday i saw the server for a short while (30 min.) then went to invissible again.....never saw it agian LOL......
Still i can use all the shares on the server , the one that i already had, and ones that i make new.

New shares i can connect bij making a connection in DOS-box.

Do anyone now what went wrong ?
