Strange error from SMTP server

I'm trying to get the SMTP server working, but got an error message saying that the message could not be delivered, but did not say why. Here is the log:

First error: Add an allow entry to your IP filter to allow 127.0.0.1 (which is your local computer) to send mail to LS.

Second error: Looks like the server "Secureserver.net" is timing out. Might be a problem on their end.

I do have 127.0.0.1 in the filter.

I suppose it's possible that secureserver.net was timing out, although it's the server that all my incoming mail goes through and that seemed unabated. Also, if it's a timeout, shouldn't the message be queued for later delivery? I couldn't find it, although I'm not absolutely certain where to look.
