Hi I have a small home networks and am using WinXP with AOL 7. I have just today installed lansuite as I've been assured that I can share the connection simultaneously. But after checking all my settings, as in TCP/IP etc, the network machines will not connect to the internet. I've set the LAN settings to the best of my knowledge. Also, when using lansuite to manually connect to the net, it will fire up AOL, but in the start up log of lansuite, it states error 680 'no connection'. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My icq is 2011272. Cheers, Pauline

Were you using AOL with your Lan before installing 602Pro LS? I ask for I suspect your problem maybe your AOL connection. I recollect that when I was once considering using AOL as my internet connection, using AOL with a LAN was going to be a problem; so I went for an alternate ISP. However, that was some time ago so that may not be the case now.

LAN SUITE needs a standard windows dial up networking connection in order to work. Since AOL can not provide this, you must set LAN SUITE to "permanent connection" and then connect to AOL manually. The only thing you will need to do to the client PCs is set up their browsers to run through the proxy.
