Hi, Just added the following numbers in 602TAB using "sum()" and it gave a difference of 1.48 from my calculator. Can someone explain why the difference? 36.71 5.95 0.00 0.68 9.44 1.15 3.74 0.80 602TAB total using SUM=56.99 Calculator total = 58.47 602TAB Error Difference 1.48 Also, tried to add manually in one cell(=a1+a2+a3+...)and gave an error if more than 4 cells were entered why? Thank you!! Cheers, Willi

What is the fomula you are using? It works just fine if I paste your numbers into the A column and use this for the formula: =Sum(A1:A8) I also tried it with this formula and it works fine as well: =Sum(A1+A2+A3+A4+A5+A6+A7+A8)

Thank you for your reply! I am thinking that perhaps my software is corrupted, because I tried it again after your comments and I am still getting the same error: 36.71 5.95 0 .68 9.44 1.15 3.74 .80 Formula is =Sum(C4:C11) gives 56.99 Formula is =Sum(C4+C5+C6+C7+C8+C9+C10+C11) and it gives !!errValue Tried in a new Workbook and still same thing. Hmm. Also tried this column: 36.71 5.95 0 .14 6.38 3.85 3.71 .78 =Sum(D4:D11) and it gives 56.60 instead of 57.52, a difference of 0.92 Hmmmm. Cheers, Willi

It's erroring because you're not adding a leading zero to your decimal value
