Autoresponder for SPAM filter?
Posted by  Robert Rose  on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 11:41:00 AM (EST)
Is there an autoresponder set for the SPAM filter in LS04?

If so, is there a way to change the reply message?

There's not an autoresponder for the spam filter.

If you are using your own SMTP black lists, there is no auto-response; you just get a general 550 erro saying that the server refused the message.

If you are using DNSBL checking, if you edit the site you are using you can add a response to why it was refused, or what to do, for each specific DNSBL.

Well, you could set up a mail rules in wed mail client and create antoresponder for any message with certain subject..(.e.g include SPAM word from bayesian Filter). However the last thing you really want is to sent auto-response back the spammer with your real email address.
