I said: Houston, I have a problem. (This is actually the gravest, also quite a tasteless error message issued by another program.) But they were unable to respond in a concrete way for some formal reasons. However, any word or image processors would be kind of useless without the Open and Save (Save As) dialog panels. Now, I am almost sure that changing the default file types rendered to the 602 packet during installation may have been a reason for this. First I un-installed the program, then deleted all the remnant files I could spot. Then I removed all the file types that could have been related to 602. Next I reinstalled the program, and behold: it works absolutely normally. (Even with Win95, the "sunset" operating system the way "Houston" had called it.)
