AntiSpam via POP3 mailbox check?
Posted by  Harald Bilke  on Friday, April 23, 2004 at 9:47:09 AM (EST)
Hi out there?

For some time we have to pull mails via POP3 connecting to a "domain mail box". will AV-checking and Anti-Spam work or do we have to use another POP3 downloader that forwards the mail to Lansuite?

Thanx in advance
Harald

POP3 collected mail that is downloaded from your ISP to LS is checked for viruses, and if you use the bayesian filtering or blacklist/whitelists with e-mail addresses, it will check for anti-spam.

It will NOT check DNSBL lists when collecting POP3 mail because the connection is rejected (and not the mail) when using DNSBL.
