LS2004 and PHP
Posted by  Paul Srch  on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 4:21:55 PM (EST)
I'm interested in setting up php for my organizations' intranet. I found this in the Knowledge Base, under KB635:

EXTENDED INFORMATION:
It is possible to use PHP scripts with LAN Suite 2002's web server however, for security purposes, it is not possible to use any PHP scripts outside the CGI-BIN directory at this time.

Does this really mean what I think it does - that all of my .php files need to be placed in my cgi-bin directory?

Say I'm running phpBB. All of the required items - php, mySQL, perl - are installed and work fine (tested on an Apache server running on the same box). According to this KB article, it seems like I'd have to load all of the php files into CGI-BIN instead of the directory out of which I'd serve all my non-php files.

Or am I just missing something . . .

I am using PHPbb with PHP, and did NOT install in the cgb-bin. I just did the install as indicated in the instructions below that statement.
