|Cant find mailbox

I am using a laptop as a client but when trying to retrieve mail using Outlook it says "unable to connect to the server".
I have configured my Outlook with the host IP address for incoming and outgoing mail servers and used the account name and password as set up in the users on Lanpro.
Out going smtp works fine. Also the mail is being retrieved ok by Lanpro from my ISP server and seems to be routed to the mailbox I have set up
