NAT Problem with ADSL Dial-up
Posted by  Antonio Sanguigni  on Friday, March 26, 2004 at 10:30:59 AM (EST)
Hi everybody,

I'm having some troubles with new feature NAT of LanSuite 2004. I mean, if LanSuite establish automatically my adsl connection my clients pc are not able to see Internet. Otherwise, if I open my adsl dial-up manually and only after I open Lansuite 2004 my clients pc can see internet without problems.
Do I missed something in LanSuite configuration or there's other problem I cannot understand ?

Thanks in advance.
Antonio

Hi,
I also have some probs using NAT.

Config:
ADSL - LAN Suite 2004 (permanent connection) - Proxy

Everything works right, but if I activate NAT, choose my LAN-adapter and my ADSL-adapter, no-one can connect with internet.

Questions:
Have I to disable PROXY when I'm using NAT ?
If PROXY and NAT can be activated the same time, where could be my prob?

Firewall in LAN Suite isn't enabled.

Thx 4 the answer.

Well, I think this is not a conflict between NAT and Proxy because in my case, if LanSuite Pro establish connection I still can browse Internet with proxy settings even if I cannot browse it such as NAT.
Me too has firewall disabled. This is for my home lan network.

Furthermore, I got another situation in office lan network, I mean, I cannot using NAT in no modes because clients cannot browse the internet. I tried both establishing connection withou results. The only way to browse internet is that I used until now with LanSuite Pro 3, I mean, with Proxy settings.

Thanks
Antonio

Sounds like the same problem I had. If I didnt use the proxy, I couldn't connect any of my clients to the internet. You have to select a different WAN adapter.

Thanks for the link but this is not helping me. I have a USB Dial up adapter so I cannot exchange with Internal Network Card.
Furthermore, I have another (silly) problem that I solve with manual connection to ADSL US adapter and then launching LanSuite pro. If I launch Lansuite pro and it makes connection with its internale settings of adsl userid and pw, then other pc of the network cannot use NAT functions.

Bye
Antonio
