Parent Proxy
Posted by  Srinivasan Subramanian  on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 11:14:37 AM (EST)
Hi

My ISP also uses a proxy. I specified the address in the Advanced HTTP Proxy settings proxy tab. However my ISP needs me to use my user id and password on the proxy.

qn 1) Where is the user information for parent proxy entered ?
qn 2) If no support, is there a work around

Regards
Srini

The only thing I can think of is to use ICS. In your web browsers use the ISP's proxy server. The only features of LS that will work are the web, email and fax servers. Turn off everything else.
ICS will enable its own DHCP server and automatically setup the IP and default gateway needed by the clients.
