Anti-Spam Protection
Posted by  Marco Parlato  on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 5:37:34 AM (EST)
Hi to everybody!
About Anti-Spam Protection, i have tryied many times and it doesn't work. I have some external pop3 accounts, 602 download e.mails from this ISP and delivery the e.mail at the specified 602 account. Example:
from: pop.world.com
login: hunk@world.com

delivery to internal 602 address: carl.roberts

That's all...

But, if i put in the appropriate 602 box setup SMTP Anti-Spam, to reject some senders, domain or something else, it doesn't work! Just because the Anti-Spam is referred only to internal 602 accounts and it doesn't filter the e.mails download from an external pop3 account!
Someone have any solution?

in my experience, blocking via e-mail address is not only ineffective but impractical in LS because of the way it blocks mail. You should block via domain, not via e-mail address. This is because of the way LS handles the blocking--it rejects connections based on the domain, just like DNSbl. If you want to block a certain address, use mail rules.
