I configured one of the clients, just as you said, and no NAT in the log.

It's a Clean installation of Win XP Pro OS, works fine trough 602lan suite proxy server.

Disable dhcp for one. I bet you have dhcp set up incorrectly.

1. Assign a static IP address.
2. For gateway, use whatever the INTERNAL, LAN IP address is.
3. For DNS servers, use whatever your IS...

Odly enough Russell the computer name and domain name are entered exactly as you mentioned (I had missed the primary DNS though until you pointed it out so thanks) but the server still replys as '220 ...

I would be curious why a reverse dns lookup is even going direct to your IP address. The request should be serviced by your ISP's DNS server not the lansuite itself unless you are running a DNS server...
